Pangolins, often called “scaly anteaters,” are covered in tough, overlapping scales.

Pangolins do not have any teeth. They feed by opening anthills with their claws and catch the insects with their sticky tongues, which can be up to 70cm long.

Poaching for illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss have made these incredible creatures one of the most endangered groups of mammals in the world.
